3 Colour Combos To Try Before Summer Is Up

Ah the great British summer. Wet, windy and oh so unpredictable. Yet just when we thought it was all over, global warming proved us wrong with another scorcher of a week ahead. Will this be the final week of summer? Who knows. I for one want to make the most of it, and that means injecting some last bit of colour into my outfits before I can say sayonara to my summer brights for the next 10 months (yes, you read that right, ten months, there is no such thing as heat in Britain for over three quarters of the year). So if you too would like to send off the summer of 19 with some colour, read on.

WATERMELON(E)(!)

Bright green and a nice fuchsia are a timeless duo. When done right, it's a surprisingly sophisticated combination and perfect for summer. To keep the look chic rather than childish, stick to choosing either pink or green as a solid outfit colour, and accessorise with the other colour here and there.

SHERBETS

Tasty to eat and tasty to look at, wearing sherbet colours will have you looking like a snack. Opt for muted yellows and lilac shades to keep things sweet.

TAKING INSPO FROM ABOVE

A colour combination that never gets old is blue, white and yellow. It reminds me of small towns along Greek and Italian coasts and screams summer. Keep things modern by pairing a slip dress with a masculine shaped blazer, and use yellow to accessorise. I chose to go with this on trend yellow tote that gives a pop of colour without being overwhelming. Swap out sandals for trainers and add yellow lenses sunglasses for a sporty-chic feel.
